Does anyone know how to remove a blanked piece from the dash. I've tried using a little force to remove it but it seems pretty solid. I want to put a remote bass gain in the spot.

I pulled the trim that surrounds the guages off by pulling it straight toward me and I put my fog light switch on that bezel, and from there, I pushed the cover out from behind with my finger and added my remote switch for my system on that spot. There's not really that much room there for that gain.

I mounted it where you suggested.

The wife was hesitant because that spot is higher and more visible. She didn't want to change the aesthetics of the dash. I painted it a glossy black (matte probably would have worked better) because I had some lying around. I took the remote bass guts out and they were pretty small so it fit no problem. Thx for the idea.
