I have a 2009 crv. I’m curious about if I am able to remove the bottom cushion of the back seat to possibly make the seat lie flat. I’m not interested in removing the whole seat, simply removing the cushion if at all possible. Anyone done it?

With the seatback hinged to the lower seat...no, not likely. That hinge keeps the seatback at the correct distance so it can fold flat to the lower seat when they are tumbled forward. (In other words, if just the cushion/padding and leather were removed, there would likely just be a huge gap there.) It would be much easier to just remove the rear seats IMHO. Or sell the CR-V and get something more flexible like an Element or Odyssey.
