Cheap A/F sensor is my guess...unless you wired the new sensor incorrectly/loosely.

I truly feel your pain having to work on your back, in the cold.

Time to start checking the O2 sensor connections and voltages. Can you borrow a scan tool that would display the readings?

You never answered: what brand of sensor did you install? Did the thieves cut the sensor wires?

Thieves pulled the wires out the back of the plugs sensor side, so I unclipped the empty plugs. Car side wiring looks ok, but haven’t checked it with a meter.

If the wires were disconnected, how do you know you got them into the correct position?

Maybe there is an issue farther up into the harness, too, if the wires were forcibly pulled.
