2012 CR-V, EX-L. Looking for recommendations on replacing original headlight bulbs with an easy swap out for something brighter and/or whiter. I know XID would do it, but I’m not wanting to rewire the whole headlight assembly. Just thinking someone must be making better bulbs than they made 7 years ago?

Before replacing bulbs, assure that headlamp aim is OK for the loads you normally travel with. Most cars need to have the aim higher, for only one or two passengers.

If you get brighter OE type replacement bulbs they will not last as long, if that trade-off is OK with you.

Another strategy is to install brighter fog lamps and run with them ON always. The fogs can fill-in the pattern.

You might want to ask site vendors CARiD or Diode Dynamics about what is best, these days....
