The problem: If I hit next in my phone, the song changes after 2 seconds. There is a delayed response because of the stock bluetooth chip being old version and my iPhone's bluetooth is new.
Question: Has anyone replaced their old generation bluetooth chip to the latest upgrade so that there is no latency after you hit next in your phone? I am trying to figure out where the bluetooth chip is situated inside the car stereo box and replace it with a newer chip. I dont want to replace a new stereo. Everything is working fine except the delayed response.

Gen4? It's unfixable. It's not about the age of the chip. It's a design error by Liteon, the manufacturer. Phone and headunit perform a hanshake when making a connection. As they do not agree on the protocol it defaults to raw data format and the communication is hindered causing all kinds of delays and missing packets.
