2017 crv ex-l took 2 bolts out of lens on tailgate cannot get the lens to remove to replace bulbs. How to i replace the bulbs remove the plactic panel on the hatch?

I imagine your 17 is like my 18, if you see panels on the inside of the tailgate, behind the bulbs, they pop off and the lamp assembly is revealed. Very easy to swap out lamps, I did mine the first day I had the car, took me about 10 minutes total.

the bulbs just pull out after you remove the cover on the inside of tailgate.
