So when I have the AC on Max and I place the car in reverse the engine feels like it wants to stall. Ideas?

Dirty throttle body? Old trans fluid?

With the A/C on MAX you are creating a larger-than-normal load on the engine and electrics. Does the idle slow AT ALL in a forward gear?

^^ this.

Dirty throttle body (idle air control valve mainly) will do it.

Also having the ac blasting a full power combined with being in gear, especially reverse (reverse requires more pressure from the pump to engage) can cause a severe drop in RPM at idle.

If throttle body is dirty then it's hard for the computer to compensate idle for the increased loads.

Thanks. May need to try and clean it this weekend. It doesn’t happen in drive however you can tell the compressor is on as it gives the engine a different sound somewhat.
