Okay, just got a new S10 android phone and trying to connect to my 2017 CRV via bluetooth and it will not find phone. Neighbor has the same 2017 CRV and phone and his works or did until we disconnected it. Any ideas what we are missing?

I had a similar issue with my Galaxy S4 and my 2018 CR-V.

In my case, the solution was that I had to tell Bluetooth (on my phone) to make my phone visible to other devices so they could find my phone during pairing.

By default, my phone is only visible to equipment that it has already been paired with.

There is a box I had to check that read: "Only visible to paired devices. Tap to make visible to other devices".

Once I did that, I restarted the pairing process with my CR-V and it worked perfectly.

This box, automatically unchecks itself after some time.

It may (or may not) be your issue.

Check out the Bluetooth setting on your new phone and let us know of your progress.

Have you tried plugging it in and enabling Android Auto? That usually forces a BT pairing.
I actually did that and while doing something about Bluetooth poped up, but did not want to loose that connection. Will try bluetooth again tomorrow.

Thanks
