Is it safe to use cheaper shock absorbers on my 2004 CRV ???

My right front new tire is cupping, as did my previous old tire ; Yokahama Avids

are non-Honda shock absorbers / Struts ok to use on my 2004 CRV-LX with Realtime 4WD ?

Honda Front right Shock absorber $300 vs OEM $90

Should I risk it ???

Where's the risk? Most people go aftermarket for the very same reason, savings.

I am having issues with my KYB preloaded shocks, my right shock has memory steer and KYB has no customer support to speak of, I wrote and called them and its almost like "we don't sell shocks".
So, my advice... Buy a good shock and have ti put together with stock parts, especially with a Honda. What I mean is most Honda parts are great, in the case of a McPherson strut, if you must use other than factory, get a good brand but don't get entire assemblies like preloaded KYB struts.

Sorry about my link in post #5.
Go into the 'Maint and Service' forum and put shock absorbers in the 'Search Forum' box for quite a bit about shocks and struts for Honda CRVs.
You could also try the same in this forum 'Problems and Issues'.
