Hello. I've got the hub carrier/steering knuckle off my 2000 CR-V in order to replace the bearing. The lower ball joint feels ok with no slop, but it looks like it might be the original as it doesn't seem to have the big circlip like the replacement ones do. Car has 105,000 miles on the clock. Since I've got the front suspension all apart now, would it be worth replacing the ball joint so I don't have to do it all again later? I ask since the removal of the ball joint from the carrier looks like a right pain in itself.
Cheers!
Tim.

We got replacement BJs with the lower control arms we replaced last year (Gen2), but I didn't replace them after seeing the hassle they were to R&R.

Our V has 200K miles on it. They are still fine, but I DO inject some grease into the boots, yearly, with a needle adapter on my grease gun.
