We just got back from our first extended trip in our 2016 CRV Touring Model ... all went well except side window sun screens would have been nice to have for passengers on sunny sides. I saw nice built-in ones in a friend's Lexus sedan but obviously they aren't available for a CRV. Has anyone found the next-best-thing in side window sun screens for a CRV?

They don't cover the entire back window but the kinder fluff window shades get "enough" of the job done. They're fairly convenient and adhere quite well.

Alternatively, you could try to jury rig these retractable shades to fit.

I was able to get these mounted in my WRX by taking out the roof door assist handles and using those bolts as anchor points for the shades.

huh... those window sox seem pretty neat. Wombat, have you noticed any difficulty seeing through them with getting ready to shift lanes? I guess you can always take them off and wash them or fluff them out if they get dirty, right?

They are hard to see through from the drivers seat, especially the one behind the driver (RHD), the passenger side one is not so bad. I have my rear and side mirrors set up correctly so I don't have to move my head much at all and I rarely ever have to look over my shoulder.

You can put them on/off as required, they are held in place by one strip of Velcro on the front & rear of the doors. I only put mine on when my Grandson's are in the back.
