I noticed when I'm braking in the quiet apartment car garage, I can hear a distinct high-pitched whine. Anyone else have any experience with this? Anything to worry about?

Is it when you're slowing down? I can hear that on mine - it's the turbo spooling down.

It's not the turbo it's the CVT, there's a thread on it. However, in a garage? Highly unlikely unless you have a garage that allows you to slow down from 17mph down to you'll hear it.

The brake-booster in the 2017's is an electric device and no longer runs off of vacuum pressure, so there is a possibility that you may be hearing a high-pitched whine from it when activating the brakes.

If you are young, and also female, you're much more likely to hear this type of noise than the rest of us.
