We have a 2014 CRV EXL AWD and I've noticed when you pull up to a stop sign, especially if the stop is on a up hill garde, sometimes when you begin to accelerate it seem like the transmission in monetary in natural and suddenly goes into gear. It also happens sometimes when we slow down to turn into our uphill grade driveway. It just kind of free wheels for a brief second, then goes into gear and up she goes. The oil was changed by the selling dealer when we bought her about 10,000 miles ago. She has a total of 20,000 miles.

Any ideas?

make sure the fluid is full, sounds like its low or they put the wrong fluid in it.

Sorry it took so long to respond.
I did do as you suggested, checked transmission oil. All was OK. Today I took it to a Honda Dealer for transmission check and a oil/filter change. Found out there is a service advisory covering this condition that involves a software update + a transmission fluid change. All covered by the warranty. She drives like a different vehicle now.
