Whenever I move the seat back from my wife's position, the SRS light comes on and stays on.

I'm thinking it's a break/short in the wiring harness as it flexes when the seat is moved.

I'm intending on disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes prior to attempting a continuity check of the yellow connectors.

Any experience or ideas with this problem.

thanks,

My understanding is the yellow connectors are for the airbags.
The others are for power to the electric seat and seat heater.
Is that correct?

yes yellow connectors are for the airbag systems. Exercise serious caution messing with anything airbag related if your not disconnecting the battery. which you are supposed to do but designers have put more effort into compensating for people.messing with things they shouldnt be, thus less risky.
