In the "good old days" I would spray the frabic seats and carpet in the new car to prevent them from being stained. Does anyone do this to their CR-V and if you do, what do you use?

You still can use old good Scotch Guard - just try it somewhere in hidden area first. You do not want to find out that you have just unintentionally changed your upholstery color.

I use Scotchgard spray about twice per year. Seems to help the cloth upholstery repel stains and dog slobber. If I do get a spot, I spray Folex on it and blot it out--love that stuff! It's a non-toxic waterbased cleaner that's odor-free, safe for kids/animals, and quick. Great on carpets and clothes too.

Automotive Scotch Guard vs Regular

I read somewhere in these forums to use Automotive Scotch Guard.
I couldn't find the Automotive kind anywhere at the automotive stores.
I bought regular Scotch Guard at Kmart, is it okay to use?
Is one better than the other?

Thanks
