I'm considering changing the steel wheels with alloy wheels, do I need new type of sensors for the alloy wheels, or the originals will be just fine?
Thank you,

Tibor

Are they the same size on the '09? I know for 2012+ the steelies are 16" and the alloys are 17" so that may require a new set of sensors.

Not sure, but diameter probably doesn't matter other than perhaps needing to be configured differently by Honda. Since yours are the same size anyway, you should be able to reuse the sensors.

Tirerack warns about needing new sensors for alloy wheels. I would like to find out, from CRV owners how they dealt with this issue.

Rim diameter does not matter. It's the thickness of steel vs alloy that does matter. I'm pretty sure that the sensor part numbers are different. I would check with a Honda shop.

Ya, any dealerships parts department should be able to tell you.
