I just bought a 2022 Honda CRV and cannot figure out how to turn my heated stering wheel on.

How do I turn my heated steering wheel on? I just bought my first CRV. It is a 2022 model.

Very comfy in the winter months. It’s a pretty standard feature these days.

Same reason a car needs an engine/wipers/heated seats/et al....

Until you have had one, you wont know what you are missing.

I see your point.

So let me ask this, your heated steering wheel fails in the future. Your out of warranty/not covered etc, and it costs hundreds of ££ to replace. Would you buy a new one, or put up without??

Genuinely interested
Depends on the cost and how long I intend to keep the car for. Too many variables to give a yay/nay answer.

But to try and answer, if I was keeping it long term, then cost aside, I'd get it fixed :)

When the car has been sitting all day on a cold snowy day and the temperature is about 2º at 9pm when you need to go somewhere, you won't ask why.

I thought it was the dumbest idea until it came with the heated seats package on my 2004 Infiniti. So nice to hold onto the wheel with both hands instead of driving with one hand on the wheel and sitting on the other until the cabin warmed up.
I wish my 15 EXL (and wife's 19 EXL) had it, but upgrading to the next level wasn't worth it to us.

I often do a winter errand with heated steering wheel and heated seats on and heater off.

If the heated steering wheel fails, you should absolutely just buy a new CR-V. Just give the old one a good shove into the bin.

More seriously, there are a lot of "do I really need this?" features on modern cars. Do I really need powered wipers or could I just use my free hand to wipe the windscreen with a rubber blade in the rain instead?

I haven't often used the heated steering wheel, but it's a nice luxury if you've parked the car outside on a cold night.
My arthritic hands love a heated wheel. Like heated seats I can't live without it now.

couldn’t agree more.

after getting our Accord w heated seats, we said that’s a must-have for our next car. Then we got the CRV w heated steering wheel too, we said that’s getting added to the must-have list lol
Are we really still talking about this???

I sure do like mine on cold mornings. My arthritic fingers don't hurt from the cold when I use it and I don't need gloves.

Because some of us (me included) are wusses and are spoiled, lol. I do not like driving in the winter with gloves on and the heated steering wheel makes that possible. Also, if you happen to have a bit of arthritis in your hand/fingers, the heat feels very good.

I gave one to my wife for Christmas it was number one on her wish list. She was a happy. camper. lots of people have cold hands during the winter. Poor blood circulation contributes to the issue.
