I have a 2015 Honda CRV and soon to be retired. Want to do as much camping as possible. I used to tent camp, but old bones and dealing with wet canvas get's old fast.
So planning on having a tow bar attached to my car.
Just wondering if that's even feasible as to what kind of camper can I tow??

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm a camper, but highly biased. If you want to camp (using a CRV) plan to continue with tents.
Go big or stay at home.

You can install a Class 3 (2" bar) hitch on a CR-V - mine is a Curt. But the towing capacity will still be only 1,500 pounds. That'll be pretty limiting. A tiny teardrop might be possible, but even most pop-ups are too heavy. CR-V camping will be much like backpacking. Choices will be critical. But it can be done. Heck, my eldest son pulls a tiny teardrop with his '65 VW Bus. Camps all the time, with wife. When the kids go, they take a tent, too.

Wrascal - You are not a camper, not with that rig. You're an RV-er. Not the same thing at all. But at my age, if I were still doing it I would certainly go with your method.
