It’s unofficial, The owners of CRVs with the 1.5T engine are unwilling participants in a Beta Test!

a) First it was everything is fine - That’s the way they all are.
b) Then the Consumer Reports article dropped 10/05/18 – We’re working on it.
c) Then TSB 18-114 and TSB 18-124 came out 10/22/18 – We’ve fixed it.
d) Then TSB 18-114 was altered 02/01/19 – You should have waited or we’ve fixed it cheaper.
e) Then TSB 18-147 came out 01/11/19 – Camshafts and you thought 114 and 124 were bad.
f) Then TSB 18-147 was altered 02/15/19 – You should have waited because we still don’t know.

Who knows? I may have missed some.

Well yes, you missed the 18-147 revision of January 11, 2019, LOL. :)

The new 18-147 applies to all 2017 and 2018 VINs and in addition to checking the oil we now have to listen for a "whirling noise coming from the engine compartment" whatever that is. Also they are now replacing the AC control module for some VINs, they are no longer flashing all as they said on Feb. 1, a beta test for sure. Care to guess what the March 1 TSB will say?

Yeah, you got that right. This from a Honda Employee in Canada (via FB)

I work at a Honda dealership in Canada.

I don't necessarily see how they have lied.

1. They recognized there was an issue.

2. They came out with an immediate solution fairly quick in hopes to rectify the issue.

3. They extended the warranty to 6 years unlimited kms

4. They are continuing there [sic] investigation to fix [the] issue
