My 2013 CRV was having a transmission issue. It makes this strange "crumbling" sound when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Strangely, it only happens once after starting the vehicle, then it goes away. Doesn't matter if the engine is cold or hot. For example, if I go to get gas, when I restart the engine and accelerate, it will make the noise.

Anyways, I did some research and apparently there is a service bulletin for "vibration" when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. The solution is to update the transmission software. My issue was not vibration, but more of a sound. But I figured they might be related since they both happen shifting from 2nd to 3rd.

So, I had the dealership update the transmission software. Unfortunately, this did not fix the issue I was having, and now the car shifts worse than before. It's possible that the software update should only be applied for people having the vibration, which I wasn't. Now it seems to have messed up the way the car shifts.

I was wondering if it would be possible to revert back to the previous software version. Maybe they could just install the software version the car came with from the factory. I hope I'm not stuck with this.
