I have a 2020 Honda CRV-Hybrid. At 5000 miles the car showed both a Transmission and Blind Spot Warning system problem came on. The dealer said they fixed it but the car is now approaching 12,000 miles and the same thing happened again.

Has anyone else had this problem?

They changed the transmission fluid. What's really crazy is the car continued to drive ok though the blind spot indicators did not come on when cars passed me. The first time it happened I happened to be close to my Honda dealer and took it directly there. Once it was turned off and restarted the ready to drive message came on rather than the transmission and blind spot warnings

Also, this time it is a Sunday so I drove home with no problems. I'll take it to the dealer tomorrow

I took it to the dealer and there was a different code that stated "excessive clutch slippage" Since they couldn't reproduce the problem, there was nothing for them to do. Both times the messages did not come back on after turning the car on and off and the car drove without problems.

Has anyone else had this happen where a warning message comes on but then goes away after turning the car on and off? It seems to me this must be a software problem rather than a hardware problem and like, often is the case with a computer, the problem is solved by turning it off and on.

My problem with the transmission and Blind Spot Warning system problem came on again. I pulled over and restarted the car. There were no warning indicators on the restart and my transmission and blind spot indicators were working. The last 2 times I took it to the dealer and they did a transmission flush and said because it is an intermittent problem, there's nothing else to do. Still looking for someone else who has had this problem and maybe knows what's really going on with my 2020 CRV Hybrid

Basically, the dealer has done what the code told them to do but hasn't found a problem. They then told me that it's an intermittent problem and that if it happens again bring it back to check out again. I've notified Honda of America and provided all the details and asked them if it's their policy to allow for intermittent problems without fixing them. I also suggested that the system throwing the problem codes should be checked out.
