Nice find, wonder if it'll work with my tablet. Otherwise it's the wife's cell phone as I don't own one.

I have that same one I think with the paid torque pro, its the same name anyway but it only does some of the engine data and freeze frame and clear and read codes but very basic compared to this new one that reads all the modules in the car look at screen shots on first post.and commands a few things as mentioned above, before I found this there was nothing under $500 that does this including the over priced fancy app $100 BlueDriver that does not much more than the $10 one people think its great because the app directs you to online databases but in reality its not reading whats going on in the car your working on,I could be wrong on the BlueDriver and veepeek but I did a lot of research and this is what I have concluded,if anyone can give feedback that would be great because im curious especially with BlueDriver I have not tried but read a ton of reviews thats what im basing my thoughts on with it but the Veepeek is great for the basic person that just wants codes and basic info , but for the one diagnosing engine, abs, transmission,.air bag, hvac, tpms, key coding,VSA,and more you need something like the ap200 ,not a fancy app.it looks to me that the BlueDriver is just another ELM327 with a couple of extra PIDs that dont work on most vehicles this one is the real deal right out of the box no playing around with PIDs and changing values and googling and linking to internet,no internet needed on the AP200 after you choose your 1 free make of car download, another thing I noticed the bad reviews on the AP200 is operator error you have 24 hours after activation to download your 1 free make of car so I downloaded it to 2 phones and 1 tablet for backup and those downloads will only work on this OBD2 dongles ID# so they have it figured out for hackers they get $15.99 for additional makes of cars,I cant find the youtube video I was going to link but the guy has the Autel tablet $600 machine and he compares it to the AP200 and shows the AP200 does all that the tablet does but processes slower and the tablet comes with all makes installed out of the box, seriously look at my screen shots and you will see that the ELM327 is very basic, there is more that I didn't get shots of but if someone has questions I can check, also anyone downloading the app from the play store its the one called MaxiAP that you have to start with then after activating your AP200 and making an account it will uninstall that app and reinstall a modified version that the playstore doesnt show you have installed anymore, I had trouble at first because I downloaded the wrong app the one that works is MaxiAP with a low 2.7 review probably because confusion

Interesting and thanks for the information.

Can it be left 'plugged in' to keep an eye on the transmission temp while pulling a trailer?

Seems like a fantastic solution for pulling a small travel trailer (1,000#) while ensuring that the transmission isn't being 'cooked.'
