Can’t anyone recommend an aftermarket trunk mat for the 2017+ CR-V that doesn’t shift under heavy cargo? The OEM trunk mat I have keeps sliding around when something heavy is on it. I’d rather not have to install Velcro underneath of it.

Ive been looking at the WeatherTech trunk mat, as I have their mats for the front & have been really happy with them.

Anyone have any input on this?
Hmmmmm? I have the OEM cargo liner and floor mats that the dealer threw in at no cost when I purchased my CR-V. I have carried more than a few heavy items back there and have not had any issue with the liner sliding around at all. Do you have the floor down to hold the liner in place (vs. the floor lifted to provide one solid surface from the cargo door area to the rear of the front seats)? The cargo liner is intended to fit the floor if it is in the lower setting. I hope that makes sense.

One more comment........is it possible you are driving too fast while making turns and also while braking/accelerating?

My 2018 CRV has a two level rear cargo area. If yours does too, remove the wheel cover board and replace it to the lower position. Then the mat will be snug and can't move around. BTW, I am not sure if the 2017 is made the same way.

I have a 2017 CR-V. I researched heavily about 6 months after purchase. If you want something with a really clean, finished look, check out TuxMat out of Canada. They sell cargo liners for either the higher or lower position, which no one else does. Little costly, but they look real good. I also got the interior mats and wow, they're stunning. Yeah, you put your dirty feet on them, but I have that OCD where I need 'em. Don't judge
All the top brands sell both upper and lower versions for gen5 CRVs.

TuxMat may be great, I can't personally comment one way or the other, but your claim as the only source for dual version mats is complete fiction.

Forgot to mention we have a 2017 exl and the cargo tray is in the lower position. This in itself keeps the cargo liner from moving but the containment system is great (the four corners) and it works on any surface.
