I apologize if this has been posted before. I have a 2010 Honda CR-V lx with 80,000 miles on it. I have recently been doing my own oil changes and I have noticed that I need to add a quart of oil every month or so.

I remember getting a letter from Honda about some sticky piston rings causing excessive oil consumption a few years ago so I took it to the dealer and they said my Honda was fine so I didn't think anything of it.

Now that I am noticing oil consumption, am I still within that warranty since my car is 10 years old with 80k miles? I still have my doubts that everything was fine when I first brought it to the dealer but I can't prove it.

What should I do? Thanks.

Yes I vaguely remember getting that notice and they said my engine was within the normal limits. My concern is that it seems to be getting worse now and of course I am outside of the time limit of the warranty but still under the miles sorry I have a feeling they will tell me to kick dirt if I tried to bring up getting it done under warranty.
