I own a CRV EX I-TECH 2010. The factory-fitted screen thing looks like it came from the 1970s. Can the whole unit be replaced with a 2019/2020 unit with Apple Play, Tom-Tom satnav, etc? If so any recommendations in the NW London area?

If you mean replace the radio with one from a 2019+ CR-V? Not possible. But you can buy an aftermarket head unit that works better than any factory system from major manufacturers like Pioneer, Alpine (a Honda OE supplier), Kenwood/JVC, Sony, etc.. Avoid anything chinese--that AliExpress junk is terribly made, sounds poor, and runs on woefully outdated versions of Android so it is instantly years out of date the moment you pull it out of the box. And good luck when it breaks. In the US, we have adapter kits that will properly fill the dash opening and mount a double-DIN-sized radio.
