Has anyone been having any trouble with the usb ports in the armrest not maintaining a constant charge for devices (i.e. cellphones). Once plugged in the phone begins charging, but within a few minutes the charging stops. The cord works with the socket charge ports so it shouldn't be the charging cord.

Thanks,

2016 EX

This has been discussed on this forum forever. Those ports are not meant to be for charging. Yes, they should have been made for that.

They're probably the older 1 amp ports, vs 2.1 amps that newer smartphones require to charge.

Not noticed an issue with charging in my 16TRG. But I'll pay more attention. There are definitely problems with phone batteries these days. My Iphone 6 plus is hideously erratic on its reported charge.
I do turn off the wifi since its not needed in the car. Might help.
BT definitely is a big power consumer.
