ok thanks, by the way how to identify 1 quart by looking at the dipstick? how many quart is it between the add and full marking?Normal is subjective and varies between manufacturers. Yours sounds like it's fine. Let the car sit on level ground for at least 5 mins before checking. You may not of lost any depending on where it was when it was last changed.
You do not want the level to rise above the top mark or fall below the bottom mark. Anywhere in-between is fine although you want to keep it at least halfway or higher unless you like checking it a lot.
My CR-V usually needs about a 1/6 of a quart between changes. I usually go about 7000 miles between oil changes. I usually check the oil every other week if I'm doing just normal driving. Check before and after a long trip.
I have no clue. I'd guess from the bottom mark to the top would be about 1 qt. But that's only a guess.ok thanks, by the way how to identify 1 quart by looking at the dipstick? how many quart is it between the add and full marking?
I think typically it's one quart between the bottom mark and the top.ok thanks, by the way how to identify 1 quart by looking at the dipstick? how many quart is it between the add and full marking?
You need to monitor the level. Was it full after the last change or at the level you found it?
Top it up to full, and then drive 1000 miles.
