I found the trunk floor box assembly on a UK Honda parts website. Looks like you will need part # 14 and 15.
What does the top of the panel look like with the bolts you are using? So I used a hacksaw and gently separated the box from the lid. I then drilled pilot holes in the lid for these posts (#6 3/4 socket set screws) and with a 1.5mm Allen wrench (probably was a standard one that I didn't have) I anchored them to the lid. I then drilled out the holes in the lip of the box and put it all back together with wingnuts. I now have a first aid kit, tool box, flares, and a small tarp stored in the box. After the fact I noticed that the bases on the lid are actually hollow. so a U-shaped channel could have been cut and a regular screw could have been used instead of the socket set screws. Check it out - an OEM tool bag/emergency kit for that empty space... Well, not really OEM but it almost looks like it is. The flat tire kit is underneath and the original floor panel still fits on the top.... this Ryobi tool bag ...
The Honda patch came from eBay - if you can find a "CR-V" or a "Hybrid" logo, let me know!Couldn't you get "Hybrid" on the bag as well as the "H"?Or circle the "H" in blue?
Your royalty check is in the mail. Thanks for sharing your ideas, I like your use of that space with this solution. I was going to separate and then set aside that "empty box". They say that the highest form of Flattery........is happening here and now as I'm gonna follow your lead on this upgrade for my 2022 Hybrid EXL. Just ordered that Ryobi tool bag.....Now to find the HONDA patches.Check it out - an OEM tool bag/emergency kit for that empty space... Well, not really OEM but it almost looks like it is. Just got my 2022 hybrid and went to put my jumper cables in the back trunk floor. Can the plastic spacer be opened up? Where can jumper cables go?I asked the dealer what is supposed to go here and they were not sure. I couldn't find anything in the owners manual. Not sure what tool or thing goes here (empty spot on the left), any ideas?
P.S. The trunk floor panel doesn't open up since this is where the battery is stored. There is a small access area for a tire inflator though. No spare tire tools, not even a jack! Otherwise, no real storage in the trunk but eh, I really wanted the hybrid.

I think you need to do as I did after driving for over 50 years and not needing my jump leads for 20 yearsJust got my 2022 hybrid and went to put my jumper cables in the back trunk floor. Can the plastic spacer be opened up? Where can jumper cables go?
Absolutely, with all the electronics in the Hybrid jump starting is probably not a good idea. I carry one of those Lithium cell booster pack, mostly in case somebody else asks me for a jump, but that'd be safe enough to use on the CR-V if I was desperate.... you risk using jump leads on a car with so much modern day technology that the slightest spike can do untold damage
If you are carrying jumper cables be careful.Just got my 2022 hybrid and went to put my jumper cables in the back trunk floor. Can the plastic spacer be opened up? Where can jumper cables go?
OK. Thanks for the information and reasonable thinking. If you are carrying jumper cables be careful.
You can jump TO the hybrid, instructions are in the manual.
I would not try to jump FROM the hybrid, it's small battery may not be up to cranking over a big V8 (it's not intended to "crank" anything), and if the voltage were to drop too much the computers would probably get unhappy.
Honda does not specifically say to not jump FROM the hybrid, but instructions on how to do so are conspicuously absent from the manual, though the other way is described.
I wouldn't do it.
I carry a little jump box, in case I encounter someone needing a jump, I wouldn't want to appear unfriendly by refusing.
Little Known Fact:
The Apollo 11 Lander carried jumper cables, in case they had to steal power from the descent section to get the ascent engine going.
I have a box in the rear with tools, portable compressor, tire plug kit, flares, flashlight, emergency radio, some MREs and general emergency supplies.OK. Thanks for the information and reasonable thinking.
Where do you store your little jump box though?
In other countries it's not empty?? What do they get?Oh yeah... in US models I believe that slot is left empty.
Yeah I think in the UK they have that populated, but I do not recall with what.In other countries it's not empty?? What do they get?
