It looks like it is part of the strut assembly???
Don't know about MOT.
But, any broken parts on the suspension would probably cause an inspection failure??

Hello,
Try Cox Motors for the parts.
The bracket where it fits onto the rear strut is the normal place the bracket cracks and fails due to rust.

The two actuator arms are composite hence they do not rust, but the bushes fail.

The top bracket which holds the sensor in place is a bolt on bracket’ hence this can be easily replaced.

The biggest problem is the bottom bracket that is mounted on the suspension strut and unless you want to change the strut for new ones, I would suggest you grind off the remaining bracket and fabricate a new bracket to fit in place – The fabricated bracket can be welded in place or use some sort of metal glue.
