The power locks on my 1998 engage on their own, most likely due to a wiring short. Until I can actually fix this figured I would just pull the fuse to keep them from operating. I removed the 20A fuse marked "Dr Lock Unit, Roof" from the fuse box under the hood, but the locks still operate. Does somebody know where the fuse for the locks is located?

In the owner's manual on page 268 it says that fuse #10 (20A) in the Under the Hood Fuse Box is for the Door Lock Unit.

Just beware, that other items such as ceiling light, rear glass hatch or even more important items may also not work.

Fuse #25 (7.5-A) in the Under Dash Fuse/Relay box may be the one you are looking for.
That fuse would be most likely the one, AFA I can tell by the diagrams I see.
It is labeled Meter, so perhaps your dash lights won't work either.

If you don't have a 98 owner's manual you can dl a free one online.

Have a Happy 4th. :)

Thanks - that indeed was it. When I first removed the fuse I pulled the 20A fuse in front of the door lock fuse. On the downside this also disables the button on the dash for the rear hatch, but it can be opened using the key on the tailgate.
