Good Day CR-V Forum -
I realize I'm a first time visitor, first time poster, but please bear with me....
I have a friend / client for whom I just helped purchase a 2019 CR-V Touring in Northern Illinois. The deal is done, but now I'm trying to help her with obtaining pricing for an extended warranty.
The dealer (I think) quoted her around $2,100 for a 10 year extended warranty (I can't remember the mileage extension, but it's most likely for 100k miles). My question is whether or not CR-V owners have been finding better deals shopping around or if there is a source that is regularly mentioned on the forum. I did a search and College Hills Honda came up, but only with very limited information (I did read on the forum about the possible extension to 6yr/100k miles for the CVT, which makes me happy and nervous, all at the same time).....
The reason why I'm asking is b/c I own three Toyotas, and there are a couple Toyota dealers across the country who are willing to sell OEM extended warranties over the phone and have done so, with their contact information being shared by owners on the ToyotaNation forum. Toyota made a big stink about this a few years ago, but they have since relaxed their rules so long as the customer is making the initial contact.
