Oops! My CRV in the above post is AWD. What was I thinking?! Obviously a donor trans from a car won't fit! So I need to know what tranny to strip the needed parts from. Thanks again! Allan
Which donor trans?
Hi! I recently bought a 2002 CR-V with 5 speed (2WD) and am lovin' it! Didn't know what I was missing all these years! Just read about the 6 speed conversion. What I'd like to know is, which Hondas have the right 6 speed trans to use for parts? Or will any 6 speeds swap in? I just retired after 40 some years as a mechanic so labor is cheap! I will search thew forum some more, but so far I haven't found any updated lists. So any suggestions for a donor trans is appreciated. Thanks!
