Just saw a nice set of barely used 215/70/R16 winters on Honda rims locally. The Tire Size.com site doesn't list this as a size that fits my 2003 CRV. Wondering if anyone out there knows if these will work for my car? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

That size will definitely be taller than original. Could have some rubbing at front wheel lock. Taller adds additional load to the engine/drivetrain.

might hit the strut ,the spring seat area ,I take it you have the 16" wheel from an 05-06 maybe a 205/65/16 ,05-06 has 215/65/16 if you can try one a 70 will be 27.85" and 65 is 27" O.D.

on the wifes old 03 CRV that got totaled I put Michelin 215/70/15 original was 205 including the spare the clearance was no problem,if you cant try it first I wouldn't buy them then you will be stuck selling them, are they CRV wheels? 215/70/16 will be 1/2" from center total 1" O.D. from what I remember on the 03 CRV 215/70/15 was finger close to the front strut

Bunch of bad info in this thread.

How I know, my 2003 has 225/70r16 cooper discover AT3 4s on jeep wrangler wheels under it. No spacers, no lift kit, no rubbing issues unless I bottom out the rear end. But too the lip seam under my plastic fender trim rusted away so I removed rest of it and repair the body.

Jeep wheels spaced tires out 10mm further. Only have jeep wheels because mine came with 15" wheels and found the 16" jeep wheels for next to free. 215s on stock wheel spacing will clear without issue.

Too many trying to use internet numbers and dont know how to use a tape measure.
