Hello,

I am a new owner of a 2019 CRV EX and needed your help with HondaLink. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10+ and have unable to connect the phone to HondaLink..I have tried restarting the phone , Bluetooth and also the head unit by long pressing the volume button.

The only thing I get on the phone is a notification that says 'Connecting to HondaLink' that never completes or connects .

Is there anything else I can try to get it to work ? Thanks

The HondaLink app is useless and is buggy. Lots of connection issues. Mine will sync sometimes all of a sudden and other times it won’t connect. I have a 2017 and the HondaLink app does nothing except tell me oil life and my odometer reading.

Yes. Its not worth the effort to get to connect. I tried it for 2 minutes and immediatley deleted it. If i need to know the oil status I can look look it up in the car. Also I can use a phone to schedule an appoinment at the dealer. That's pretty much all it does on CRVs. Its buggy and laxking in functionality. Don't waste your time and energy unless you have nothing better to do.

Thanks all, I didn't want to say it in my initial post as I felt I was doing something wrong but it seems that the app is really is that bad.... Which if funny because they advertised it so heavily in the welcome booklet I got

It has more features if you have newer model Hondas such as remote start but for the CR-V it’s pretty much useless.

Yep.... Hondlink is largely useless on gen5 CRVs. It is more useful on newer designs, like the gen10 Accords.. but even then.. to get the real features.. you have to pay a subscription fee.... which in my view does not warrant the fees charged.
