I've recently picked up a 03 Manual Cr-v, The previous owner let the Release Bearing Lock up and chew up the snout. Once they had seen that they decided to sell the car, But left the Driveshaft/T-Case at the shop that did the work, and they don't have them anymore.
So while trying to source a Manual T-case I've noticed some weird things.. supposedly 02-04 and 05-06 are different. Not exactly sure why, but noticed the part numbers should be different. 02-04 listed as PPS-0000 and 05-06 listed as PPS-A000 But the problem is everywhere I'm seeing that has 02-04 T-cases listed the part number on the sticker is Alphabetical at the Start after pps- (Exmple. PPS-H119155.) So what is the real difference here?

Also With the Elements supposedly, 03-10 Elements Use the Same T-case as the 02-04 Cr-v, Which I find odd because the different gearing? any know more about any of this?

Thanks!

I don't have an answer for you but I'm about the swap in a new transfer case to my 02 that I just acquired.
Looking at part numbers, it appears that most of the internals like gearing are the same across all years. Interestingly, the 2002 has a different MT case and main shaft part number from the 2003-06.
