2003 Honda CRV - 160000 miles
Cruise control engages but does not keep speed, after a few seconds car seems to downshift and speed drops off.
I have read the forums and replaced the following -
1. Replaced brake light switch with Autozone part
2. Replaced cruise control module with OEM Honda part.
3. Checked fuse #4 (10amp) fuse box on top driver feet behind trim cover and fuse #7(15amp) fuse box under hood - both good.

Cruise still doesn't work. I know there a lot of posts on tis subject but just asking for some suggestions as to what to do next, thanks.

Does the brake pedal extend securely (no looseness)? It might be hitting the defeat switch, if not.

Not a manual, right? Manual trans cars have an additional defeat switch on the clutch pedal.

Just a few questions,
Does the main cruise control light turn on when you turn on the cruise control?
Does the cruise control set light turn on when you set the speed for the cruise control?
Did you check the under dash fuses??

Sometimes when the contacts of a switch are not making good contact if you just work the switch many times that causes the contacts to make good connection. This is becaus the circuit connected to the switch is not passing very much current through the switch.
