Thanks, that's very informative - seem like it's a temperamental system!

However all the info he gives is when the symbol is white/grey - doesn't mention when it's amber like mine.

Mine is also a 2013 model and the range of error messages isn't as great - I just get either the battery or the exclamation mark.

Having said that, I've got the 12v battery on charge at the moment, it only showed as 40% charged when I put it on and as the car's been sat for nearly a month and previous to that was only used for short journey's (in the day time so no lights), I'm hoping it's just low voltage on the battery - still a little concerned it's an amber light though

 

Often get the amber one on mine due to short trips. Also my old battery was not a stop start one so the system barely worked now it has a stop start battery it now works fine.

 

Struggled with this for a while. Just found the answer. The positive battery terminal, although fully tightened was moving slightly with wiggled. I had to put a packing piece between battery and clamp and now all is good - Hooray!
