2017 CRV FWD Touring.

I have been struggling with rear bumping noise for awhile now. I had the rear shocks changed about a year ago which never really got rid of the sounds when going over bumps/bad roads etc. In the pick is LH rear shock lower mount. There is a CUP washer on the bolt. Is this cup oriented correctly? I've seen pics of Civic with it flipped the other way. The parts breakdown does not show orientation. Upper mount of the strut has a arrow/diamond mark on it. Should this be facing out or facing in. Can anyone check there CRV's and see how theirs is set up?

From what I have seen on most shock replacements, the cup is positioned like yours. With that said though, I have seen many with flat washers instead of cupped washers. If you are thinking that the cupped washer is causing the noise, simply replace it with flat washer and see if you still have the noise.
