I would like to change where the rear washer water hits the window. What is the proper method to adjust the nozzle?

I saw some posts that say the dealer claims the rear sprayer isn’t adjustable. That’s a lie. I just fixed it on my ‘18 (it was pretty much spraying straight down and barely catching the edge of the wiper). I used the tip of the file blade on my pocket knife (didn’t want to stick a sharp knife blade up in there!) to move it. A small standard screwdriver tip would probably work too.
The sprayer doesn’t take much pressure to move. You just have to do a little trial and error to get it where it works best for you.

I will give it a look. I had emailed a Honda dealership and Honda Customer Service and both said it is not adjustable. I am hoping my 19 is the same as your 18. It would be so stupid to not be adjustable in some way.

Yes, I had the service manager look at mine and he said it was not adjustable. I will look more closely at mine. The 2019 appears identical to the 2018, so they should be the same. Mine sprays to the outside of the wipe area.

Many sprayers are a "ball and socket" type and can be adjusted. With my eyes, though, I'd have to get outdoors with a magnifier to see it up close. ?

Does anyone know if the rear sprayer is adjustable on a 2020? My back sprayer currently hits the top passenger side back window corner which I thought surely is not where it should be spraying! Adjusting it to spray centre-ish would be much better.

I talked to the service manager and he was not any help. I even wrote to Honda and they seemed disinterested in giving me a satisfactory answer. I see no way to adjust the nozzle. I wish it had that little ball with the hole in to adjust like the front ones do.

Here is the answer from Honda Customer Service: Thank you for your correspondence. We apologize for any miscommunication and the inconvenience this has caused you. As previously advised your inquiry was internally reviewed and it was confirmed the rear windshield nozzle is not adjustable. If you believe there is a defect with the nozzle on your vehicle, we recommend having your vehicle inspected by a Honda Dealership.

I am soon taking it in for an oil change, so I guess I will pester them again.

I do not think what was said is Defective, and I clearly show you, the Plastic spray nozzle is aluminum, and as well a wide spray, it is clear as day and stay tuned for the video talk

Now compare that with the photo from the OP:

It is possible that lighting/shadowing is creating a visual deception here, but this nozzle looks to me to be skewed from center, ie: shooting off to the right more than it should.

But honestly, not that different from the one on my CRV... and I can see from inspection of mine that it is designed to shoot washer fluid toward the middle of the wiper blade in it's parked position, which makes complete sense to me.

The apparent design of the rear washer jet is different than for the front. On the front ones they are deliberately tuned to spray a wide wash to a large window glass and wipers. For the rear, it appears more deliberately designed to put down some washer fluid in front of the blade as it wipes... so it makes sense that the nozzle would be on the left side, with a slight skewing of the jet to hit the center zone of the wiper.

Of course a short video of the nozzle spraying and the wiper blade moving would clear up a lot of guessing here from different still photos. Maybe the nozzle pointing angle is right, but the nozzle itself has an internal obstruction.

In any event.. the vehicle is under warranty and if there is an issue with the nozzle the dealer should be able to sort it out.

Yours and mine spray the same way. (y)

But the question really is.. how does the OPs spray? It is designed to wet the front leading edge of the wiper blade, and Honda's "spray-down" approach is making good use of gravity here for the fluid to wet the glass.

Maybe this is just a case of misplaced expectations on the part of the OP. Or it could be a defective nozzle. Your video is a perfect reference point for him to compare though and decide.

Well glad we put a damper in someone's boat here Please do take it kindly you got an issue want to t
Loved the video, here is mine although it is much shorter and boring. I suppose I will be happy as it is cause spray pattern looks like the one in the video. Just think it should be adjustable and hit in the center of the window wipe area.
you need to change to Public please. I totally hear you on hitting the window in full, its not made that way its one side only, what you can do and no one mentioned it. Modify a Y adapter to the other side done.
