Regarding the addition of a new trim for 2024...

In 2019, Honda said, "...we recognize that the number of models and variations at the trim and option level have increased and our efficiency has declined...by 2025, we will reduce the total number of variations at the trim and option level for our global models to one-third of what we have now". I guess they've changed their mind.

When the 2017 Ridgeline was introduced, for example, there were 12 different trims. Since then, they've reduced that to a more reasonable 4, but they eliminated the $30K trims raising the entry price to $40K.

I miss a simpler time at Honda when your choice was DX (cheap), LX (popular), and EX (loaded).

Also regarding the addition of a new trim for 2024...

That brings us to prices overall, which have all increased. The biggest increases are for the non-hybrid turbocharged models. The LX is up by $1,090, and the EX and EX-L are up by $950. Sport, the base hybrid model, has increased by $850, and Sport Touring is up by just $400. All-wheel drive is an extra $1,500 regardless of whether it's for the hybrid or the turbo CR-V.

Press release there which lists the differences :)

Anyone know the difference between the new Sport-L and the Sport Touring? For such a small price difference I don't see why it was necessary to make the Sport-L trim...
The Touring has a heated steering wheel, the 12 speaker Bose sound system, Navigation system, rain sensing wipers and 19” wheels. Those are the only differences I can find for the added $1650. And you can get the Sport-L in a 2WD.

The extra $1,650 adds:

  • 19" wheels instead of 18"
  • Built-in navigation
  • Bose audio system
  • Wi-Fi hotspot capability
  • HondaLink subscription services
  • Front foot and door handle ambient lighting
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Different interior styling
  • Hands-free feature for power tailgate
  • Rain-sensing wipers

Saw a Youtube video of UK (?) version of CRV and observed few thing’s different from US:
  • Gear selection is push button, like some of the current Hondas
  • Has plugin hybrid, not sure how large the battery is
  • Does NOT have the front exhaust!!!

Question: Did they eventually include BSI on all EX by the second half of the year? I realize it was due to the chip shortage but it sounds like that was mostly resolved.
The new 2024 EX says BSI is available but you can't add it to any build option. So, I'm confused and we are looking to buy in August/September when the 24s will be rolling in.

{I'm new to this forum and am researching Subaru Foresters (which I have) and Honda CRVs (which my wife has always wanted)}.

Our sales guy said they were still having chip issues with BSI. Some Sport Tourings had it, some didn’t. The one we bought — which is due to be built this coming Monday — apparently has it.
