Any CAN bus hackers or enthusiasts in the forum?

Just want to see if anyone is working on sniffing CAN packets and reverse engineering the crv?

I'm just getting started with this, I have the tool and the can tools that are available.

I'm hoping is there are others that have any info on these vehicles and maybe start an opensource database to do mods like: disable TPMS , remove navi warning /enable use while driving.. etc

I have a 2012 Crv touring/nav canadian model.

I am currently looking for an ecu and tachometer to test without breaking the bank rather than test in my car


With this bench test setup I can to alot of things like connect components to it and listen on the can line for changes in data. I've seen some newer model crvs that are getting hacked in China and they make CAN modules for activating things like no flickering led lights , adding extra functions or for simply using the steering wheel functionality on new radios.

I'll report back from time to time with my findings hopefully it sparks more interest.
