I have a 1997 crv lx & a 2001 crv ex, both are automatic. I need to know if I’m able to swap the motors w/o having to swap transmission & the read end. Are the gear ratios the same? & What issues might I run into? Thanks!!

I believe the issues you’ll run into have to do with the knock sensor and ECM because of different compression ratios with the engines, and overdrive control is on 2001 but not 1997
