Can we adjust the timing chain?

If the timing marks are off, you need to remove it and align properly. (jump one tooth)

This assumes that you installed it properly (applying rotational tension) and that it is not stretched from running the engine low on oil.

No personal experience with the Honda engine, BUT

You cannot just adjust the tensioner to align the marks AFAIK.

So in order to fix it,we have to remove the chain and adjust it by one tooth, that means after that, the chain is considered not properly installed since the golden pin of the chain will not be in its supposed place (in the crankshaft area). right?
If the chain was removed or replaced, and it out-of-spec, then yes I would agree that it was not properly installed.
