Just for clarification, is it a hard ‘bucking’ under acceleration or just a misfire you can feel? Also, do you have a CEL (check engine light) on?

 

It's a hard 'bucking' and the engine light is on; solid orange.

 

Did you perform a compression test when you changed your plugs?
How many miles on the engine?
Did you happen to see how far you reved the engine when you "accelerated hard"

 

I didn't perform a compression test, I don't have the tools for that.

It's done 166,000 miles. I'd guess I revved it to about 5k or 6k but I'm not sure exactly.

 

Unlikely given your description, you can check your ignition coils for any damage or loose spring inside

 

Run your codes....nearly 100% chance that its either a VTC or VTEC code due to debris in one of the screens. When I got my CRV, this happened to me quite a few times until I was able to flush all of the old carbon/sludge/etc out of the engine - it kept clogging up those screens (expecially the VTEC one on the back of the engine). The way you can tell without running the codes is if the bucking starts at 2900-3000 rpm...

 

Almost forgot...low oil or very dirty oil can cause the same effects as the screen being clogged.

I would check your fuel and spark, by the books. And look at your live data and OBD readings. Check vaccum. Change your coil packs or inspect them 1st and wiring. Last but not least the VTech solenoid like most of the issues on these vehicles.
