Hello,
Today I closed the deal on the 2025 CRV hybrid sport touring. got it at 43600$ OTD. It was 43250 but had to get new plates and we got plates for 17 months for 350. The car price was 40200 which included all weather mats and 3m protection for the doors. the dealer quoted me 850 for gap insurance. We are financing it at 5.9% for 60 months with 0 down. We are planning to pay it off in less than 48 months. Do I need Gap insurance since I got the car below MSRP( MSRP is 42150) or is it wise to add Gap insurance? My current insurance provider (State Farm) does not offer gap insurance. Also if the car gets totaled does the insurance take into effect the sales tax paid on the vehicle?
