Sounds like an evap code, it should be OK to drive.

 

The dealer just called and I'm dropping it off tomorrow. Since I just bought it they're even providing a loaner for me.

 

Do a search there is a federal emission warranty, I think 8 or 10 years. That means anything that is emission related is a free fix.
Oops just noticed your not in the US.

 

I do have the extended warranty. It should be covered. I was just wondering what specific part does that code pertain to.

P24BE - EVAP System Leak Detection Pump Vacuum Switching Valve Control Circuit Low
Description: This DTC sets when a concern is detected with the evaporative emission (EVAP) leak detection control module switching valve circuits.

Possible Causes:

• VPWR circuit open
• EVAPLDPSV circuit open
• EVAPLDPSV circuit short to ground
• Damaged EVAP leak detection control module

 

Thanks. That's what I found too. Bunch of mumbo jumbo that I can't make sense of. Would it have anything to do with the battery? I do draw a nice bit of current to my amplifier, but the code stays whether I have it on or not. Hopefully the service dept can fix it.

 

51R batteries go bad all the time, if you have OE, you should replace.
