Installing a dual battery for camping

Nicely done, and outback ready. (y)

I wonder, does the stock alternator have enough power output to reliably charge your 12v starter battery, as well as the cargo power battery, and run the vehicle optimally too? I only ask because if the cargo power battery is ever really low on charge, it might really want to suck up the current to recharge. There has to be a normal operational limit for the charging system but I have no idea what it is. I would think a charge limiter might be a prudent thing to add in, to protect the vehicle charging system from overstress.

I have a 40amp circuit breaker on the wire from the main battery and 30amp fuse from the DC to DC charger to the deep cycle battery. The 20amp DC to DC charger/Solar regulator has over-charge, short circuit, over-temperature, over-voltage, solar input overload and reverse polarity protection incorporated. Also, the 200W solar panel plugs into the Anderson plug beneath the DC to DC charger and with that connected I don't imagine it will get that low on charge to be a problem.
Sounds perfect!

You really did a great job on this, and with attention to detail. (y) (y)
