Hi, this might be a dumb question, but can you leave the USB drive in the port while the car is turned off? Will it drain the battery at all or is the power cut once the car is off?

As others have commented, no issue from a power perspective.

That said, if I were going to leave a USB drive plugged in permanently, I would be sure to use one of the small low profile ones that to not protrude more than a 1/4 inch past the port plug. Reason: too much chance of a longer drive getting knocked around by hand or object and resulting in damage to the USB port or the drive or both.
