Interior lighting is a place where I feel Honda completely dropped the ball.

For my '25 Sport L:

• There is no light in the glovebox.
• No light in the console
• Dome lights are really hard to find in the dark (in my opinion) and shine right in your face, but rarely on what you need.
• Light above the wireless charger may as well not be there as dim as it is.
• Lights in the rear cargo area also drive me crazy with how bright they are in my face, yet I have to hold my hand over them to redirect light to see anything on the floor.

Since we're talking interior only, I won't mention the comedically tiny backup lights.

Everything else, I'm fairly happy, but lighting, not so much.

 

Agreed. I added one of these in the glove box and one in the center console. Small, USB rechargeable, adjustable light level, Velcro mounts included. Big improvement.

I have a 5th Gen Touring 2017 no glove box light either. You would think they could put one in.

 

It’s pretty ridiculous. $40k car and no glove box light.

Parts are at most $20. Raise the price of the car by $20. I’ll gladly pay for it.

No glove box light? Forget that, no height adjustment for the front passenger seat is a much bigger issue in my house!

 

@AZgman I have a 3" seat cushion on top of the passenger seat for that very reason!

 

I can't remember the last time, if ever, that I owned a vehicle that had a lit glove box. Seems like a luxury level accessory. As far as car prices go in this day and age, $40K is at the low end of average. The Gen 6 still falls into the "economy car" bracket.

 

I have a glove box light. I also have a garage door opener. Why do we make things so complicated?

Didn’t seem so long ago that in addition to the trunk light, you had a light in the glove compartment AND under the hood!

 

The glove boxes are so small compared to what I put in it - owners manuals, legal papers, a few napkins. No need for a light as it’s full. I LOVE the rear compartment lights. Console? Again zero need for a light in there.

 

What is really missing a arm rest compartment light

 

BTW…we've leased a 2018 and 2022 CRV in addition to our current 2025 and none of them have had a glove box light.

 

I’ve owned even a premium model 10+yrs ago (Volvo) and that one too didn’t have a glove box light…id say very few manufacturers offer this seldom used feature
