Check the joints that is on the shaft of the steering wheel.

I would suggest not to take out the steering cover yet. If you can get someone to help you listen where it squeaks it could be the joints that goes thru the firewall. what year is your v? Trim model? you can use hondapartsnow.com to check for parts diagram where you can find the joints.

There are 2 u joints that is on the diagram. They could be dried up and making noise.
